Hey NoPepper, Pepper here. :)

Not all Ron Paul people are crazy. At least I haven't been diagnosed yet and I just saw a doctor a few weeks ago.

What we actually are, is just simply sick and tired of seeing the people get walked all over by those with power who think they are above the law. We simply want the government to obey its own rules, which in essence say "leave the people the heck alone and let them live their lives in peace."

See you on Twitter.

I am a huge Killebrew fan, following him since 1954 when he was a bonus baby. But alas, Harmon did play in the minors, honing his skills. Check this: http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=killeb001har

Now, it is true that in every year of his pro career he played at least some part in the Major Leagues. But in 1956, 57 and 58 he played a lot in the minors. Amazingly, when he stuck in the majors for good in 1959 he led the league in homers with 42 right off the bat.

In this day and age he might have been rushed to the majors, but back then they tended to take their time, and it clearly worked out for Killer.

Farewell to a wonderful man.

I would have no walk-up music. None. Just an eerie silence that will mess with the pitcher's head. Like a Kubrick scene.

Well, Tex, I agree with you 100% that the initial Padres uniforms were very nice. After that things seemed to go to hell in a hand basket.

I don't care about social inertia or fads, only what looks good and a lot of the uniforms of the 1980s, example were popular with a lot of folks but I thought many of them were dreadful looking. I thought my own Giants to a big step south with all that orange.

As for the current Padres, when they play the Dodgers, I can't tell one from the other.
